Our Keiki & Youth program for ballroom dancing was established under "Hawaii Dancesport, Inc.," a non-profit registered with the State of Hawaii, pending approval of its IRS Section 501(c)(3) status. This program, supported by scholarships and donations, is not just for our students, but for ALL interested keikis and youth in Hawaii - all keikis and youth may apply for a scholarship.

The criteria for scholarship eligibility may be found on Hawaii Dancesport's website indicated above, or may be emailed to you. A hundred percent (100%) of the proceeds from this benefit will go towards Hawaii Dancesport Inc.'s keiki and youth scholarship fund.
Many youth sports nurture only the physical needs of young people, while other programs address only the academic. Ballroom dance instruction on the other hand, provides exercise, intellectual stimulation, and teaches important social skills. And why call the non-profit program Hawaii Dancesport? what is "Dancesport?" Dancesport, as its name would suggest, is a form of competitive dancing, athletic and physically demanding, just like soccer, swimming, tennis, or running. It teaches coordination, increases stamina AND promotes good health and a healthy body image. Ballroom dance is also intellectually demanding. With four (4) styles encompassing 19 dances, mastery can take a lifetime. Each dance has a complex list of required steps, and each step has 75 years of technique behind it.
In an effort to provide such dance opportunities to the keikis and youth of Hawaii, Hawaii Dancesport Inc.'s scholarship program was created to enable those interested keikis and youth to take ballroom lessons, perform exhibition dancing and enter ballroom competitions.
COME and Join us on April 5th to help fund these efforts for our kids. COME help us mold them into future adults we can be proud of. COME help us make their dreams come true...........Mahalo nui loa.
