Okay guys and gals and all you "senior teenagers".....Here's the Nifty 50s/60s/70s Oldies Bash Sock Hop 2013 poster to brighten your eyes...sent to me by Chairman Wendell Kwan. A reminder! Register early cuz it's First Come, First Served. Goin' be ja'like last year's Bash....Sold Out way before the deadline to register. Nifty 50s/60s/70s Oldies Bash Sock Hop 2013

Last year's BASH was a SMASH HIT and I feel that Wendell Kam and Company has got some HOT-To-TROT program all geared up for this year. If you like to Shake, Rattle, and Roll into the 50s/60s/and 70s then get an eye-full on the following announcement from Wendell...........

We are Proud to Announce! Shake, Rattle & Roll, by extremely popular demand, our dedicated volunteers are very Happy to Announce that "Nifty 50s/60s/70s Oldies Bash Sock Hop 2013" benefitting The Hawaii Food Bank will be back for our 7th annual event!
When: October 18th, 2013, Friday Nite
Where: Pacific Beach Hotel's Grand Ballroom
Time: 5:00PM - 12 Midnite
Cost: $75 per person including Full Dinner Buffet

Paving The Way for Dance Magic 808 Anniversary Ball 2013

Hi Everyone,

This year's anniversary ball will be just as fun and exciting as last year and it may even be better than last year's. Last year, our 1st Anniversary Ball was the "Ball" of the year and this year, we expect that it'll be the same.

We are having a Royal Couple (International Dress) Competition (open only to Dance Magic 808 members) and the prize is the 2 dinner ticket cost for the evening.

There will be a delicious buffet dinner, exciting exhibitions, Royal Couple Dress Competition, lots of general dancing, and lots of time to make new friends and chat with old friends.

We just started distributing our anniversary ball tickets on March 30, 2013. If you and your friends would like to attend our anniversary ball you can purchase tickets from your dance club or from Dance Magic 808's Officers, Board Members, and/or Instructors. Check our website

Tickets were given to President Glenn Okazaki & his wife, Tracy of USA Dance Club, President Rudy Luat of Pan Pacific Ballroom Dance Club, President Deanie Bates of Aiea Ballroom Dance Club, President Keoki Galas of Friends of Ala Wai, Board Member, Gayle Kawahakui of Hawaii Gardenia Circle, President Chris Jay of IBDI and President Diane Wong of Ilima Dance Club. Please see your club for tickets.

Payment should be made payable to Dance Magic 808. If you are purchasing the tickets from your club, be sure to give them the names and payment and they will forward it to us.

Larry Arinaga is Dance Magic 808's Ticket Chairperson for this ball. You can see him for tickets. Payment can also be mailed to Dance Magic 808, 1676 Ala Moana Blvd., #1101, Honolulu, HI 96815. Tickets can also be purchased in class.

Names and payments should be submitted no later than Friday, July 12, 2013. There is a possibility that seats might be limited so don't delay and plan on attending this enchanting, fun filled evening, where everyone will feel like royalty.

Foxtrot Workshop with Stephan & Denise Krauel

USA Dance will have another great workshop with Stephan & Denise Krauel. This workshop will be on the International Foxtrot., to be held on Saturday afternoon, April 13. Stephan & Denise will be working on the fundamental movement and techniques involved to dance the foxtrot. Stephan has a great ability to explain and demonstrate what he is teaching. All of Stephan’s and Denise’s workshops we have held were smashing successes. Word is getting around on how great these workshops are.

There are students of different levels/caliber from other dance clubs that also join us for the workshops. If you have a friend who may be hesitant, encourage them to attend. It will be worth their while.Workshop will be held at the Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse, 2nd Floor ‘Palladium’. See attached flyer for information pertaining to this workshop.
