Dance-O-Rama Dress Rehearsal - OPEN HOUSE EVENT!

It's almost time to take off for the San Francisco Dance-O-Rama and we have several dancers representing Hawai'i! Come share in the excitement and cheer us on at our Open House Dress Rehearsal! Dancing is great for your health, and a fun way to meet people in your community or make new friends! This event is FREE for everyone and includes full costume dance demonstrations, group dance lessons, and a professional show! Light pupus and wine will be provided for your enjoyment. Bring all your friends and we'll see you on the dance floor. We'll be dancing waltz, foxtrot, tango, swing, salsa, bachata, cha cha, rumba, and more.

Belly Dance Rags @Ala Moana Centerstage April 21, 2018

I am so excited to announce the date for our semesterly showcase at Ala Moana Centerstage! Belly Dance Raqs is made up of two sister student organizations at UHWO (2 years old) and UH Manoa (in its second semester). Both organizations are made up of both student and non-student members, all with a love for the art of belly dance and led by Sammie in Hawaii (Samantha Giridhar). Lilikoi Dance is Sammie's advanced troupe - now in its second semester as well, Lilikoi Dance is made up of dancers who are committed to challenging themselves and pushing to the next level excelling in technique, complex choreography, and prop work. Admission to this troupe is by audition only. Special guests to be announced soon! Stay tuned!

Please join us on April 21st 2018 for our Silver, 25^th Anniversary Dance.

Performing for us will be Tyler Li and Anjelica Lowe (ages 15 ½ and 14 respectively) an amazing youth couple from San Francisco.  They have already danced 9 years together. Tyler and Anjelica currently hold 14 USA National Championship Titles in International Ballroom & Latin. They are also Finalists at World Championship events. Don’t miss out on the most exciting show to come to the Palladium for 2018.

Have fun celebrating the Chinese New Year and for more fun tomorrow night, come to the Ala Wai Palladium.

Don't miss out on our exciting and fun dance on Saturday, February 17, 2018, Sweetheart Ball & Disney Dance Extravaganza.

Time: 6pm - 9:30pm (lots of general ballroom dancing before, during and after our program)

We will be opening the doors at 6pm as we will be rehearsing before then. Please be patient as we would like to give our performers time to rehearse so that the program can go smoothly and there'll be lots of time for general dancing.

Cost: $3 for 2018 members and children 5 -11 yrs. old who are not members/ $6 for non-members ages 12 years and older/
Children 4 yrs. & under are free.

Program begins around 7:30pm

Come and dance to the fantastic music of DJ, Mike Chinen. Come and support our students and instructors of Dance Magic 808 and Dance Appeal Studio in this very fun evening.

Optional - if you want to come in a Disney character costume, be our guest. It's a fun evening whether you dress up or not.

After the dance, come and join us downstairs at the L & L Restaurant. They will stay open late for us so come and join us if you are planning to eat afterwards. It's great going downstairs as you won't have to drive and find parking at another restaurant. They give a lot of food, it's delicious and the price is right.
