GEORGE GARCIA FROM NEW YORK: HUSTLE & SALSA DANCE CLASSES
Thank you to the 30 dancers who attended George & Roscel Garcia from New York both dance classes on Tuesday, Sept. 28th at Aliamanu Elementary School dancing to the "HUSTLE" and on Wednesday, Sept. 29th at Aliamanu Middle School dancing to the "SALSA". George Garcia is a professional dancer from New York concentrating on the Hustle, Salsa, and West Coast Swing.
George plans to move to Honolulu, Hawaii, and will open a dance studio and hopefully will continuing teaching for Dance Hawaii.

NIFTY 50'S-60'S BASH
There were 700 people who attended the 4th Annual Nifty Oldie But Goodie Bash! Dance Hawaii was well represented with 25 members and friends who dance throughout the night to 12 midnight.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES COLLECTION FOR OUR DANCE SITES
We will be collecting in our 4th Quarter, as a donation to the school sites we use for our dance classes, any school supplies for the 2nd half of the school year. Please bring your donation of school supplies at your 4th Quarter dance classes to benefit the school we used for our dance classes. Thank you for your kokua!

LOOKING FOR GENERAL ELECTION SET-UP & BREAK-DOWN ON MONDAY, NOV. 1ST & GENERAL ELECTION DAY ON TUESDAY, NOV. 2ND: DANCE HAWAII FUNDRAISER
This is the plans to set-up and break-down election polling sites for the General Election:
MONDAY, NOV. 1ST (Set-up Polling booths)
7:30 p.m. - Meet at Holy Trinity Church Gym just past Niu Valley Shopping Center
8:15 p.m. - Meet at Kaiser High School Cafeteria (park at the cafeteria parking lot in the back of the school)
9:00 p.m. - Meet at Hahaione School Cafeteria (setting up Building F, too)
9:30 p.m. - Dinner at Zippy's at Hawaii Kai Shopping Center
TUESDAY, NOV. 2ND (GENERAL ELECTION DAY) (Open polling sites/breakdown polling booths)
5:00 a.m. - Assignments to be made to open up at Holy Trinity Church Gym; Kaiser High School Cafeteria; and Hahaione Cafeteria & Building F (need two people per school)
5:30 a.m. - Meet at Zippy's at Hawaii Kai Shopping Center for breakfast
7:00 p.m. - Everyone meet at Holy Trinity Church Gym to break-down
7:30 p.m. - Everyone meet at Kaiser High School Cafeteria (park in the cafeteria parking lot in the back of the school)

DANCEWEAR HAWAII
We have worked out a fundraiser with DanceWear Hawaii, and other dance clubs. If you need to purchase dancing shoes, tell Cammy Divers (owner) you are a member of Dance Hawaii, and for every pair of shoes sold at the store, DanceWear Hawaii will donate $5.00 to Dance Hawaii. Dancewear Hawaii is located at 1513 Young St, #204 (next to the old Shishido Building/now Local 5). Hours are Mon-Fri 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. / Sat 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
